After his successful mission to obtain an unprecedented eight gold medals, Michael Phelps is certainly the talk of the pool.
But how has he got to be such a renown Olympics swimmer?
Right now he is the swimming star of the Beijing Olympics. Interestingly Michael is wearing the new Fastskin LZR Racer, Speedo’s revolutionary swimsuit. Since it was unveiled earlier this year, many world record times have been beaten.
Speedo call it “the world’s fastest swimsuit” which unsurprisingly has caused much controversy.
The LZR enlisted NASA scientists to sculpt the shark like second skin reducing drag by as much as 10%.
The seamless design streamlines the swimmer’s body, boosting the speed of starts, sprints and turns by as much as 4% whilst improving oxygen intake by as much as 5%.

But how I hear you ask can this relate to an SEO themed blog…
Just like Michael Phelps, a web site’s design, structure and appearance must all be top notch but without that crucial swimsuit or in the case of your web site SEO, it may never achieve it’s full potential, and importantly beat competitors to the top.
Why would any web site owner stick with being 5th or 6th when they could achieve the gold by racing to 1st position.
A web site and SEO go hand in hand just like Michael Phelps and his state of the art swimsuit. You need both to achieve Gold.

Forget Phelps… Stephanie Rice is the star of the Games. She has 3 golds, a sleek suit and the best ‘design’. Perhaps I’m a little biased because I’m an Aussie… and I think she’s hot…
